last day in Bari

My last day in Bari, I'm not particularly sorry that I will be moving on tomorrow. It's not the 'happiest' or nicest place I have ever been to. South Italy is very very very very very very different to North Italy. The manager of the hotel got in the lift with me this morning when I was coming back to my room from breakast - which is a whole other story - and asked how my stay was going, I asked if he works here and he said he was the manager, so I told him what I thought. Soon wiped the smile off his dial!
Then I went in to town (on the bus again!!), had a bit of a walk around (it's been raining here this morning - bit muggy), found a cafe that had a write up about it being so fantastic- it's not - went back to where I had lunch yesterday and they told me I couldnt sit at the table I had sat at - so I left there telliing them that the place wasn't so good that anyone else was going to want the table in a hurry anyway - they don't seem to care what I say here LOL!!!
(the weather today in Bari)

(My bus stop)

(Inside an Italian bus!!)

While I was in town I found a bit of a market that had stall holders all selling the same sort of crap. bought myself another watch - since I'm catching trains and need to know the time I bought myself a watch from a hawker when I was in Florence but because I am not used to wearing a watch it had a few showers with me, after the few showers it stopped working - just don't get value for money any more (it cost me 3 euro) so bought myself another watch today - 5 euro - I figure it cost more so should be able to cope with the odd shower better than the cheap Florence one! The stall holders are the only people I have found here to have a smile on their faces!

Then I caught the bus (!!) back to the motel, as I was getting off the bus the driver started to close the doors so I got stuck - I just stood there because by this time I dont give a shit about too much here any more - eventually he had to open the doors and unstuck me so I could finish getting off. Turns out I was one stop too soon anyway!
I've paid my bill and asked them to make sure there is a taxi here at 8.15 in the morning so I can have my breakfast and go to the station ready to sit on the bastard train for 10 freaking hours!
I have done some reading up on that saint in the church I went to yesterday - it is Saint Nic - Santa Clause! He is really dead and bits of him are in a box in Bari!! eeewwwww - kids wont want to shit me when I get back or I will be telling them all!!
(More Bari parking, this time ON the pedestrian crossing)

(He stopped at a green light to answer his phone)

(Bari men are NOT hot!)
