Even though there are creepy men here too, I like it in Reggio Calabria.
I really like the B & B I am staying at (although it was quite noisy last night but my room is above a restaurant) and had a delicious meal last night at the restaurant downstairs, and went back for lunch today double yum.
I've been for a walk along the main drag this morning - there were mostly men walking up and down the street, I suspect the women were in church. I was followed by a few dirty old things, one I lost on the escalator going up the hill - he followed me up the first one so I stopped at the top of that one and pretended to be fiddling with something in my bag and he had to keep going, I waited until he was at the end of the next excalator and then I got on it but the dirty old thing stopped at the top and didnt get on the next one so when I got to the top of that one I turned around and came straight down again. It annoyed me that I didn't get to the top of the hill though, but I lost him and that was the objective. There will be families out and about this afternoon so I will try again then.
Then I got to the end of the main drag and went down to the espalanade where I was followed by another creep but I told him where to go, and he stopped following me because I started walking with another woman then she went off down to the beach and buggar me if another one didn't start following me!!! I know these creeps are only human but jesus it gets tiring!!! So, I aimed my camera at him and took his photo! He turned and went the other direction very fast, as did the next one who stopped beside me as I was taking some photos across the water at Sicilia when I pointed my camera at him he soon took off too!
Creeps.
I've just been back to the restaurant downstairs for lunch, time for siesta then I will get my gear together ready for my taxi at 9.15 in the morning to the ferry terminal where I get the ferry to Messina, then the train to Palermo. Sicilia, here I come!
