Firenze 9 Settembre 2014

Funny old day today, think I was craving a bit of conversation that I didn't have to strain to think about words.  Started the day not so well - broke one of the nun's cups, then broke a nail and couldn't stop it from bleeding, then got dressed and ended up with mascara all over my red top so had to wear black again today, which is niente but I'm sick of wearing black and wanted to wear my red top!!
I was going to go to Arezzo, so went to the station to get my ticket , was about 50th in line and missed the stupid train and if I had caught the next train I would have had about an hour in Arezzo before having to come back so gave up on that, and walked.  Went in a church and there were little notes attached to all the paintings, notes to whoever they were written to, some were sad, some were asking for guidance, some just saying they were there.
Ate fruit.
Bought a vegetriana panini and sat in the Piazza and ate it while two idiots next to me made so much noise pashing and groups of tourists stood inches from me and took photos (not of me) with absolutely no idea that I was sitting inches away from them, and the woman on the other side of me saying 'we have to be at Afizzi by 2, then Academia by 3, then blah blah blah by 4" mamma mia, how do you enjoy that????  I prefer tranquilla, deep breath, tranquilla!!
Walked more and was so ready for wine, found a restaurant and sat and sat and sat and had two glasses and sat and sat and it is sooooo obvious who is a tourist and who isnt when you just sit and watch!!
Came back to my room and wondered 'what now'.  So, went out and walked some more and met up with someone I met yesterday.  We walked to a restaurant he knows, walking down a Firenze laneway walking towards a looming Duomo at dusk with an artist in a red jacket - someone pinch me!  We ended up going for dinner and drinking wine, and walking to Ponte Vecchio and noticed the super moon.
Very romantica.
Firenze.
Ponte Vecchio.
After wine.
Red rose in hand.
You just have to kiss!

Back in my room now, gave the rose to la sorella - boh!

Who knows what will happen tomorrow!
