3rd last day in Italy - geee when I write that, the time sure is going fast!
I took ANOTHER box to the post office this morning, waited for almost an hour, got to the counter and the chick was so rude and could hardly be bothered with me until I pointed out "Ada, your zip is undone", then she was my very best friend in the whole world and even told me to have a good day when I left!
Got the bus to vatican city, walked around there for a little while but the opulence of that place doesn't impress me, especially when there are so many homeless and beggars around the city. Although, I did offer to buy a beggar some food and he refused wanting the money, I told him I was not going to give him money and he started to abuse me!! I just shrugged my shoulders and walked away with him yelling at me!!
I walked to the Campo di Fiori market and had lunch there, so many commenting on my speaking italian now, my pronouciation must be getting better. (Later as I was walking home, I was at the cafe two doors up asking for an espresso to drink at the bar and a cup of hot water to take away (I wanted to make a cup of tea when I got back here). The arsehole behind the counter was not making it easy for me, but the guy standing next to me was nodding and said that I had said exactly what I wanted and said it very clearly.).

I left the market and walked through a few streets getting lost but this map I have this time is fantastic because it has the streets wrtten on the back so at least I can find where I am now, although it still doesn't make much sense to me! I found the bus stop and did my feet a favour and got the bus back to the train station, found out which bus to get tomorrow to Trastevere - my last place I will get to visit - then came back to my room and have done the last lot of hand washing I am ever going to do ever, and have just had a shower and put my jarmies on. I might go out later and get something for dinner, there are plenty of places around here, it's just whether I can be bothered getting dressed, I might just get in to bed, I am tired, the lady who runs the B & B brings breakfast to the rooms (breakfast in bed - I love it). We agreed 8am, this morning she was knocking for ages I was sound asleep but had been awake for a few hours during the night. Usually when I am at home I get up and have a cup of tea then go back to sleep but here there is nowhere to make tea or coffee.
I have been watching the news here, there was heaps of rain and flooding in Cinque Terre, and I think if I understand what they are saying, there is flooding now in Reggio Calabria and Sicily where I was a couple of weeks ago. The middle of the country is 'tranquilla', no dramas and around 22 degrees every day. You'd never know it looking at the Italians all rugged up though!
