Sore Feet 4 Settembre 2014

So, after my spritzathon yesterday afternoon I went back to the nunnery, but didn't stay long, then walked back across Ponte Umberto, along Fiume Tevere, across Ponte Sant'Angelo which is a pedestrian bridge that has every  black market seller Roma has, then back along Fiume Tevere to Ponte Vittorio EmanueleII, did a "U"ee and came back to the nunnery for dinner.  A nunnery dinner consists of a bowl of minestrone soup (tasty), bread, and a beaker of wine (2 glasses), followed by insalata and beans, meat if I wasn't a vego, followed by fruit - 15 euro.  My Hebrew studying friend wasn't there as we had planned but she left her contact details at my door so I'm guessing she either went back to the padres' or found another nunnery.
The capo of the nunnery is a bit 'funny' in that she has a good sense of humor but only when she wants - she keeps telling me I can speak English.  I don't know whether it's because my Italian is so bad or because she wants to speak English.  She's not the only one, many tell me I can speak English.  I don't know if it's because my Italian is so bad or the pained look on my face as I try to think of the Italian words I want to say.
Today I caught the bus to Termini.  I am so glad I knew not to stay around Termini.  It freaked me out a bit when I got off the bus around the corner of where the other buses stop.  There were very black men in groups just hanging and staring, they probably hadn't seen someone so white in a while.
I then found the bus to Termini, had a wander around for a while (no tattoo) then caught the wrong bus back to Termini and ended up somewhere out the back of Roma that I didn't know existed, sat on the bus for an hour or so, then got dropped off back near the nunnery.  Spotted a restaurant so got a table which I was spewing about because they didn't bother giving me the Italian menu, just handed me the English version.  Offended and won't be going back!  Then found my way back to the nunnery, showered and now back having another spritzathon.  Civilised!
I'm waiting to hear from Marco, I contacted him because I thought he might know of festa happening, like last time (user).
