Ciao from Venice!

Ciao tutti!
I have had a HUGE morning, I walked to the train station with the plan being to go to the post office, get a bag or box to pack of my stuff in to send home, come back here, pack it and then walk back and post it, but got a bit sidetracked. Instead I got the vaporetto to San Marco, got off there, got pushed and prodded in the crowd, cracked 'em, walked to the Rialto again, through the market there, got the t-shirt to prove it, lunch  and a couple of glasses of vino at some place on the way home, feeling much better, eventually got home, dropped my bags, went looking for somewhere to buy a bottle of wine, went in to a mask shop instead and am now going back tomorrow afternoon to be shown how they make the masks - excited much!!!!!!

I am very tired this arv, was awake coughing a lot last night so got some cough medicine (I think) from the chemist so will guzzle some of that before I hit the sack tonight. I don't think I will have too much trouble sleeping tonight.
It has been hot, but not like in Rome, there is a breeze if I get in the shade and I try to stick to the water which isnt too hard in Venice! I am loving Venice, the water everywhere, the people are much more friendly than in Santa Magherita, I wish I had arranged to stay here longer.
